What an AI assistant sees when it looks for you

A guest asks their assistant for a private dinner for six near the coast, next Friday, under a budget. The assistant does not scroll. It parses.

It looks for three things:

• A plain description of what you offer, with prices
• A way to confirm you are free next Friday
• A way to reserve and pay

If any of the three is missing, it moves to the next candidate. It does not call you. It does not wait for a reply to a DM. It has a deadline, usually seconds.

This is not a prediction about someday. Assistants already book flights, tables, and stays where the pieces exist. Independent operators are next, and the ones that are readable get proposed first.

The fix is rarely a rebuild. Usually it is a page that states offerings and prices in plain text, a calendar that reflects reality, and one link where a booking can finish.
